My services as a psychotherapeutic counsellor are available to individuals, couples and groups as well as organisations and production companies.
The goals of our work are decided upon in a collaborative manner during our initial session and we work specifically with challenges associated with you reaching those goals.
Sessions are usually once a week for 50 minutes for individuals and 75 minutes for couples or groups. I offer sessions face to face at our central London practice, conveniently situated in Kings Cross, or Online via zoom. Please get in contact to schedule a time.
I offer an initial free 15-minute phone call to discuss the issues and decide whether we would like to work together. We work at your pace, as dictated by your needs. I encourage a collaborative process.
We work to process difficult or painful thoughts and feelings and focus on your untapped potential, to identify and draw on your inner resources to live a fuller, more satisfying life.
I belong to the BACP, EATA and IARTA and am bound by their ethical codes of practice.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions will we need?
There is no set model for how long you need, it depends on the person. As a guide I would say try at least 8 weeks and see how you feel then as you may navigate some ups and downs at first and then you can get a good idea of what to expect and what you might achieve.
How do I know if it will work for me?
Come along to one session and see how you feel. You have no obligation to come back, but if you find it useful you will find you want to.
What can therapy help with?
Many of life’s problems can be helped with talk therapies! Here’s an A to Z from the BACP of at least 48 common issues therapy can help with.
How long and how much are the sessions?
50 minutes for individuals and 75 minutes for couples and groups. Please see the fees page for further details.
What type of therapy do you specialise in?
My therapeutic approach is Transactional Analysis (TA) which helps empower people to identify patterns in their thoughts, feelings and behaviours and understand those of others better, allowing them to manage their relationships in healthier ways… I find it so helpful and so relatable and am very happy to discuss it more in our sessions.
Although whichever modality you specialise in, research has shown that it is the relationship with the therapist that dictates the success of therapy outcomes, more than even the specialism!
